About the Mount Dora Macintosh User Group

Mission Statement

The Mount Dora Macintosh Users Group's mission is to help, educate, inform, discuss and just plain revel in the experience of owning a Macintosh computer. We are all about Users Helping Users. We are here to provide support and advice to anyone currently using or who is considering using the Macintosh OS. Among the many areas of discussion will be Macintosh computer hardware and software problems and solutions, as well as advice for the future purchase of systems and accessories. There will be information for everyone, from the Mac novice to the Mac professional.

Although we are local to Lake and Orange Counties in Central Florida, we welcome participation from all. You do not have to be a member to attend. You don't even have to own a Mac.

So if you are interested in the world of the Apple Macintosh (or just mildly curious), join us and have a little something at the cafe while we enlighten you on all things Macintosh.

Directions to MDMUG meetings

New Meeting Location

We are trying a new meeting place on for size and, if all parties are happy, it may become our new permanent meeting place.

There are numerous ways to get to this location, but I am giving you the best one.

Come north or south (depending on where you are when you plan to leave) on Rt. 441 into Mount Dora.

If you are coming from north of Mount Dora, you will pass the traffic light at Donnelly Street (by McDonalds, Wendys, Publix and near Lowes).

If you are coming from south of Mount Dora, you will cross over Rt. 46 and then pass the traffic light at Lincoln (by Renninger's Antique and Flea Market)

At the next traffic light, turn onto Limit (the other side is called Wolf Branch).

A short way ahead, turn right into the driveway for the Mount Dora Woods complex (I will try to remember to place one of our blue Apple signs by turn on Limit).

We are meeting in the boardroom of the Florida Building Materials Association (FBMA) at 6 PM.

There will be access to Airport, so feel free to bring your Mac laptop.
